SfAN is a registered non-profit organization
Thanks to the efforts of SfAN president and executive board, SfAN is now a non-profit corporation registered in the state of Rhode Island.
This is a big milestone in celebration of our 10th anniversary.
We look forward to many great milestones for SfAN in the future years ahead.
SfAN represented at MEMBS 2014 in Dubai, UAE
SfAN participated as a scientific partner with the Middle East Molecular Biology Society during their first annual congress - MEMBS 2014- in Dubai. Drs. Hibah Awwad and Noufissa Kabli co-chaired the Neuroscience session and Dr. Kabli delivered an amazing workshop for Neuroscientists in the region. Dr. Firas Kobeissy gave the lead presentation at that session, which also included presenters from SfAN.
SfAN thanks the MEMBS organizers for sponsoring Drs. Kabli and Kobeissy's travel expenses to MEMBS 2014.
SfAN represented at IBRO-MENA 2014 in Doha, Qatar
SfAN participated as a scientific partner with the International Brain Research Organization - Middle East North Africa chapter (IBRO-MENA). IBRO-MENA under the leadership of Dr. Hilal Lashuel hosted a minisymposium and a mini-Neuroscience school.
IBRO-MENA sponsored the travel expenses for a number of SfAN members to attend the meeting as follows:

SfAN participated at MEMBS 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey
SfAN participated as a scientific partner for the second year with the Middle East Molecular Biology Society at MEMBS 2015. Drs. Hibah Awwad, Noufissa Kabli and Firas Kobeissy are serving on the MEMBS Scientific committee and promoting Neuroscience among Molecular Biologists in the region.
SfAN invites all their members to submit their abstracts to MEMBS 2015. All accepted abstracts will be presented as a peer-reviewed publication in the journal of Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences. MEMBS 2015 is also recognizing best abstracts submitted with awards this year.
